    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

Took a trip to an MC rally in Colorado recently and stopped for the night in a dry pasture between Moab and Monticello. I took the bikini top with me and on one of the days I recruited a few fellows to help me lift the camper top off. Left it at the KOA and put the bikini top on for a mountain...

The 16'x16' REI Tarp in action at Dinosaur Natl. Monument. Worked well, even though the corner attached to the top ripped off in a high wind. A little mending put it back into action and REI replaced the tarp, but maybe their’s aren't the sturdiest on the market. The corner of the tarp is...

Took the top off - no drama. Found the perfect spot to do the job under my deck. A sturdy anchor, a couple of pulleys, some rigging hardware and a come-along and voile, she’s off. Nothing amiss but it’s kinda nice to have the Jeep relieved of its load. The top ought to go back on without a...

Has anyone removed their J30 for maintenance, etc? Mine's been on a year and it's getting a little creaky. Rather than snugging up the mounting bolts (which it probably could use and would help the creaking) I'm thinking of taking it off and checking out the seals, maybe put a little restorative...

Here’s a simple tarp setup using an REI 16’ square camp tarp. I think a 12’ tarp might end up being handier, and a darker material would provide more shade ( like the Kelly Noah) but the idea would be the same. I rigged this up in the driveway using whatever I could find to attach the side...

LED Headlights - heated, or not...

Quoting myself here. Possible bad form. I drove home last night in the snow - 20 miles and a 2000ft climb up I-80 in Northern Utah. I figured the headlights would coat over and be pretty dim by the time I got home. Now I have read where people have used Rainex and/or WD40 on the lenses to keep...

Yakima Side loader rack mounts Has anyone attached Yakima Side Loader rack mounts to the sides of their J-30? These are the ones that allow you to use gutter mount towers. I'm wondering if the fiberglass would be strong enough to support any sort of weight, even with a backing plate. Like this:

LED Headlights - heated, or not...

The OEM LED headlights in my 2027 JKU get coated over pretty quickly in any sort of snow storm, this in Northern Utah. Must be because it’s “the greatest snow on earth”. Pain in the neck and I has me looking around for other options/solutions.
