It was! It is a free dispersed site at the mouth of the Huron River. An old-timer showed up and we chatted for a while about the history of the area. An hour later, he showed up with a load of dry hard maple firewood for my campfire! I love the UP!!

I use an Exped Megamat and leave it up top all the time. An extra 4" of comfort! After popping the top, I open the mat's inflate valve and leave it open until bedtime. In the AM, I open the deflate valve while on the mat and lay it flat before closing the top.

Ditto the awesome customer service from Truckfridge!! I am leaving this week on a trip and found the 12V Indel B cable broken. I emailed them yesterday and they replied at 0730 this morning. They have already shipped the replacement cable and it will arrive before I leave!

New tarp addition to the rig...Slumberjack Roadhouse Tarp. It took some slight modifications in the set up to work around the J30. Huge coverage for either rain or sun.

First set up of the Roadhouse... Contrary to the package insert, there are no online instructions for set up. But it is not complicated. The Ursa Minor top required a few modifications to attach to the Jeep. Very large and provides nice coverage. I think it would provide nice rain...

I can't help you with that. Never had 2 up top. I regularly sleep with a 65lb poodle in the top. She will sleep on one side and is not disturbed when I get up during the night. I don't think it would be too hard to sit toward the back of the jeep on your side of the camper and lift the hatch...

Good questions. When you stop by to check it out, I can offer some tips to make the midnight bathroom exit a little easier with 2 up top. I also carry a little folding stool to make entry and exit a little easier. So easy in fact that my 65lb poodle makes it look easy! I simply forget it is...
