XJ and offroad teardrop

Now to start the next project. It's a 2015 JK body I bought awhile back, it was a dash fire jeep that I bought from a salvage yard. Then picked up another totaled 2011 JK for alot of the parts. I've bought new fenders, grill, lights, soft top, core support, and hood. I'm also in the process of purchasing a set of low mile Rubicon axles that a buddy is swapping out for ultimate 70's. This one will probably take me alot longer but it will be built as a expedition rig to pull the teardrop...

Here's the 2011 model I bought for all the plastic, rubber, dash, seats, heaterbox and column....

I just looked at alot of builds and kind of went from there. I bought a set of plans online but the were cheesy and confusing so I tossed them.

We've had a great summer wheeling and camping. I drove the little xj across the country from WV to CA and wheeled the Rubicon with some friends.. 5100 miles and 2 wks on the road and the xj needs some upgrades, it did everything I asked but alot of parts need replaced.....I'm going to scrap the JK project and put the Rubicon D44 axles under the xj along with doing some work on a sleeping area inside...

We had a bear in camp the first night on the Rubicon, I'm not staying in a tent again next year. I've done some measuring and the rear of the XJ is not far off the interior measurements of my teardrop..and it already has a hatch on the back.... I'm gonna get into some serious mockup in a few day's on making a sleeping/kitchen in my xj eliminating the need to pull the teardrop across country just for a place to sleep.

I've been collecting parts for the JK 44 swap for awhile and I finally have the big stuff to get started. Artec JK to xj conversion front truss and rear truss, Rubicon express long arms, rear axle perch/Ubolt kit from Barnes and new 35/12.50 BFG's and enough Hardrock wheels for the jeep and teardrop...
