01’ TJ serpentine idler pulleys

Can someone confirm that both serpentine idler pulleys are the same - the stationary one that goes to the block/head and the one that moves/tensions the belt? I lost the entire movable one, dealer states same but their diagram clearly shows one smooth one grooved.

On my '06's, both are smooth.

If the system is properly aligned, you should theoretically only need 1 grooved pulley to maintain belt alignment. Some systems use more, but it should be okay as long as there is 1.

Why would you choose to source idlers from a dealer for an ‘01? Any auto parts store should have complete idlers and tensioner idlers.

Thank you both for the quick replies. NatersXJ6, I stopped going to my local auto parts store as nothing was ever in stock. I did check, and yes they have both in stock. Guess I need to check with them in the future. Also on my 01' both are smooth, stationary is 3" metal, and movable is 2&3/4" plastic.
