02 Pathfinder Alignment

Howdy,

I've got an 02 Pathfinder with OME springs and stock struts. I just brought it to an alignment shop and they quickly called me back wanting to do $800 worth of work for an alignment?! They claim the only way to adjust camber is with a cam kit and that the left front bearings need replacement in order to align. Is this true? Is there no camber adjustment on the front end of these things??

I can only say that my OME springs and KYB struts did not require any kit to align. That was on an '02 R50 as well.

Yeah I believe r50's use the basic cam screws in the struts to obtain adjustment.

If your wheel bearings are bad yes they will need replacement before it can be aligned.

I know with the AC coils some folks have had to get longer camber adjusting bolts, but that kit is $30. The AC coils result in around 3" lift while the OME coils give around 2".

I've got OME coils on my 2000 and had no issues with the alignment and didn't need the long bolts for camber adjustment.
