been looking at adding an aux fuel tank to my 08 DCLB. ive seen the few long range tanks that are out there and the cost is keeping me from pulling the trigger.
been looking at maybe adding in a 20 gallon fuel cell where my spare tire used to sit. measurements seem to work and they aren't crazy expensive. i would have to find a way to transfer the fuel from one tank to the other.
anyone done this or used a junkyard gas tank as an aux on a 2nd gen Tacoma?
i have a spare (damaged) left box side with fuel door so could cut it out and add it to my truck effectively having 2 gas doors on my drivers side.
any tips on transfering the fuel from one tank to the other other than siphoning or using a gas station style pump?
