Hello fellow expeditionists! my name is Steve and this will be my first build thread ever so bare with me my slow build pace.
with that said here is the vehicle:
09 Tacoma Double Cab Long Bed 4x4, 132k Miles, nothing fancy on this one
The day we brought her home:

For some background:
Our first 4x4:
90 Bronco II 2.9 V6 5sp 33x12.5 R15 James Duff Lift i pretty much bought it with everything on it from the local pick a part gave it a paint job and some tires and some maintaince and had it for about a year
Then bought:
]
for a daily driver, 01 Tacoma Doublecab TRD Prerunner
Had fun with this one and a great daily driver, put 75k miles on top of the 110k it already had and enjoyed every mile
Then went on one run with a couple jeep guys and realized how bad the bronco performed and purchased;

1987 Jeep Cherokee 4.0, auto, 4x4 31's on 15's, 3" lift and rack off the bronco
BUt has now grown into this;

same jeep, now with fresh engine rebuilt by myself, 4.56 Gearing, 35" Pro Comps, Homebrewed half doors (still have originals) 4" springs in front and bastard packs in rear.
W(my wife and i) have been a lot of places with our jeep and still love it, never left us stranded or any issues, i still have it and still plan on building it more
but, we have opted for a more daily driver and comfortable for long trips truck, so we traded in our 01 tacoma for the 09 with the promise of all we will do with it is minor fire roads and expedition type wheeling.
So to kick it off, first thing when we bought it we put it to a small test and towed the jeep to anza borrego;

It did ok and in an emergency situation i will work, i dont plan on doing that too often
then the next text was heading to the mountains to gather firewood;

handled the trailer full of about 1.5 - 2 cords of wood on the trails very well could not be happier
so first modification was to get rid of the bald tires and ugloy steel wheels,
being that i have a shop of my own all my buddies come here to work on thier rigs, and with the benefit of that there have been some trade offs;

by buddy who just bought an fj got another set of fj wheels with some nice bfg's on them and took these off, and me being the good friend i am offered to store them for him lol
thats it for now mainly an introduction, but future plans are;
small lift 2"-3"
Meatier Tires
Bed Rack
RTT
Bumpers
Sliders
and some other things
and maybe someday it will look like my buddy wyatts truck

ehh maybe not as extreme lol
