Introducing VanGo, my first van project that will serve multiple purposes. Got her about 2 weeks ago, she's a blank canvas hoping to add to all the great info that I've found here.

Removing dash and Adding Pioneer Nav headunit



Removing the dash was quite time consuming, I was surprised how tenacious those clips are.

Installing front door speakers

Adding rear safari rack crossbars, will mount removable solar panels underneath

Lifted 3" with new shoes...

Nice mods! Excited to see how this progresses.

Go VanGo! I'll probably PM you soon to discuss details, as I'm thinking of heading in the same direction. I've already talked to Boulder Off-Road (super helpful) about the 2" lift for the Express.

Have any idea what your ground clearance is like now? I'm curious about the distance on the sides, from ground to the rocker panels. And did you add the skid plates from Boulder Off-Road?

In Portland, Outside Van is doing Sprinter conversions. But they've also done a few Express vans. You might want to check out Red Sled and Race Ready for some inspiration (Race Ready photo below).

Yeppers, didn't take me long... and frankly the front clip comes off pretty easily... unlike the dash.

What nerf bars are you using? I have not found any I like yet.
