Switched fuse 2010 RRS

Hello all,

I'm trying to tap an unused fuse on my 2010 Sport (glove box fuse panel). I can't seem to find one that's not always hot. Any suggestions?

This is for a radio installation. I'll post photos of the whole install when it's done. Antenna mounts turned out great!

Thanks in advance.

You are playing with fire.

Reference the ignition switch wiring diagram and pull a signal feed from that to your own isolated circuit including fuse and relay.

Figured it out. Used the cigar lighter fuse. What was your concern with using a switched fuse rather than tapping a hot feed? Seems to me to be about the same thing.

It is much better to just go straight to the battery for powering up a radio, and install an inline fuse. You can get through the firewall by poking through the steering column boot, or with a bit more effort, using the spare grommet under the master brake assembly
