I am aquatinted with an Argentinean couple that is traveling in the USA. They have decided to sell their vehicle. It is a 1999 Defender 110/300 TDI. It is fully expedition equipped with a roof top tent, roof rack etc. Vehicle has 150,000 K on it. They are on a multi-year, Argentina/ Alaska/Argentina trip. They have returned from Alaska but have decided to cut the trip short because she is 6 months pregnant. The vehicle will be in the Dallas,Texas area in about a week. The asking price is $45,000. The vehicle legally entered the USA i.e. it is an Argentinean licensed vehicle drive by Argentinean citizens and it was not brought into the USA with the intention of reselling it here. Circumstance have dictated the change in plans. The vehicle will be delivered with an Argentinean title. The purchaser is responsible for obtaining a legal USA title. As many of you know getting this vehicle titled may be challenging but 90% of the battle of getting such a vehicle here is getting it into the country and that part is taken care of. Obtaining a title to the vehicle is a state responsibility and most individual states having differing requirements i.e. some or conservative and some are liberal. It is suggested that one check out your individual circumstances to determine if this is feasible for you. The seller assumes no responsibility for you obtaining a legal USA title.
