so im selling my 80 series land cruiser and i have set my eyes on a montero, i love the look and from all the reading i have done it sounds like they are pretty tough and reliable. all the reading i have done kinda makes me think i want a 1999 with the rear locker and the sohc engine. now this is all based on reading a ton of threads here and kinda piecing it all together. i thinking 1999 because you can get the rear locker and the 3.0 sohc engine seems to get better gas milage. please anyone who has a montero or has had one please chime in and let me know your thought.
