Packed for 2 people 9 days 3000 miles round trip. Spent most of our time in the backcountry of south central Utah. Every trip we get more stream lined and compact.

Is that a Front Runner rear footwell water tank? How do you like it? We're considering one.

Packed up for 7 day trip to the U.P. for 2 adults 2 kids. All dispersed/primitive camping. We have a back up camera but both the wife (who does all the pavement driving on our trips) and myself despise not being able to see out the rear window.

Yeah, I bring a lot, as I near senior citizenship, I tend to bring more :D
Plus I have a lot of new gear this year I am going to try out, so no doubt I will weed back a bit next time.
And that chuckbox takes up a lotta room, I am thinking about getting a custom one built over the winter that is made out of aluminum, and smaller.
The dimensions on this one could be cut down some.
Plus I am hauling enough gear for two people for my upcoming vacation which could last up to seven days.

1.jpg

Alubox pantry on the bottom, my Bad Bag duffle bag (we will cram hers somewhere), camera backpack, tripod & case, and Outback Porta-Privy.
I have the Nemo Heliopolis, but I did not have good luck trying to set it up yesterday, but I am going to pack it anyways, and maybe with more room out in the wild, we can get it setup.
Also hard to see are two Eezi-Awn K9 medium stainless steel camping tables strapped to the side of the fridge.
Best tables I have ran across so far.

2.jpg

Great American Camp Chair in the bottom green bag, Coleman lantern stand, maroon stuff sack for the footmat that goes under the roof top tents ladder, and the Katanaboy saw for firewood.
The chuckbox, Renogy 100 watt solar panel, Blue Ridge Chair Works chair, Big Kahuna 12v shower, and 7 gallon water container.

3.jpg

National Luna Weekender 50 fridge/freezer (stays in the rig full time), kind of buried to the left of the fridge are two Aluboxes, one for Goal Zero LED lanterns, two propane lanterns, and the bigger Alubox on the bottom has towels, tent stakes, several Coleman propane cylinders, and other misc. stuff.
Also the Pett toilet and cedar stand you stand on in the shower is in the black case on top of the Alubox.

Another view form the previous picture.

Corey - What do you strap them down to on the floor of the vehicle; e.g. what type of fasteners?
There are D rings back there, and I run the straps through them first, then over the cargo.
Many of these would be more interesting if the photos were actually there..where do they go?
Probably hosted on Photobucket.
PB recently is holding its members accounts hostage to the tune of $400 per year if they want their pics to be shared on forums instead of just being viewed on PBs site.

Headed to the Stainslaus Nat Forest. A few months back. The solar panel was strapped to the roof in its box prior to heading out.

My rig looks the same whether I'm loaded up or not. The only things that I haul externally are either a hitch mounted motorcycle carrier on moto missions, or, if I'm tight on space, surfboards on the roof racks. The load out in this pic is my personal gear for a week in Baja, plus 35 gallons of potable water, 7 gallons of tap water for washing, 5 gallons of gasoline, a Honda CRF-50 for scouting, my boards, an EZ-Up, and the usual repair, cooking, food, camping and recovery gear. After that inside pic was taken, I loaded up another 4 persons worth of personal gear, food, and boards, and a bunch of fire wood, which all together filled the topper from the floor to the roof, but still nothing outside. No pics of that, but loaded up it's just a wall of tubs, which makes the Federales pretty curious, but when it's hot out they don't want to dig through it too much, so we don't usually get stopped for more than 15 minutes. With 5 guys it's easy to load and unload though, it takes about 10 minutes to off-load everything when we reach an spot where we want to stop overnight. The extended cab has the fridge and the frequently accessed gear and tools, so when the bed is loaded the important stuff is easily accessible. That limits the truck to a driver and one passenger, but we use a four door XJ as a people hauler with minimal gear, and run it in the lead to test the off road routes and to make town runs.
