Jumping Jack Wheel/Tire Replacement

I'm looking to replace the tires on my JJ which comes with 15x5 zero backspace rims and pretty standard 205/75r15 tires on it. Specifically it looks like you can get BFG AT's in 205/75r15 and 235/75r15.

the 205/75 is only about 1/2 inch wider than the stock tire and seems like it will fit in the fenders with no issue even at full stuff. But the current tires are not quite centered in the wheel well, they are biased to the outside of the wheel weel. I looked at a lot of pictures and it seems this is truck for all JJ's, not just a fitment issue with mine. So I do worry that 205/75's might stick out a tad more but its probably livable as-is on the stock rims.

moving to 235/75's would require a 15x6.5 rim ideally which would absolutely make the the edge of the tire stick out beyond the fender edge. Its also a little more dicy on fitment without rubbing the lights that are wired in the wheel well etc.

seems to me options are

1) stock rims and 205/75r15 BFG AT and they should only be .5 inch further out than stock (which is already pushing it a bit)
2) find a 15x6.5 rim with a 1 inch backspacing and hope it centers the wheel in the well better. 205/75r15 tire would then work, and 235/75r15 might be possible

anyone have advise from experience on what works or doesn't?
