On an old Cruiser that I no longer own (sold in 1993 IIRC) , it had on it an interesting device that provided DC power to the starter when plugged into 120VAC main.
It was a simple box about 4" square X 9" or so that hooked up to the starter and ground and would be triggered by the starter signal line and you simply plugged into a main outlet when required. It saved me several times when it would be too cold out or if I lost battery charge like I seemed to loose so often with externally regulated power.
Looking back on it, apparently provided 12VDC relay asserted by the starter switch. I guess it wouldn't have provided any more than ~130A off a 15A outlet?
Other than a battery charger on a roller cart, I can't for the life of me find this device anywhere nor anymore. Anyone have any info of these things?
