Hijacks are welcome as long as you don't demand what little money I have left.
I thought spring under axel was best for higher clearance? If SOA meant the opposite?

Yes, the Springs-Over-Axle offers the best clearance. Nothing hangs down to get thumped by a passing rock.
Notice how nothing is lower than the axle: in order to get some 'ride' quality out of the trailer off-road, I lowered the pressure in those 15" trailer tires to 9 pounds. Still more clearance than the truck had.

I thought making the axel higher than the springs was the "Thing To Do" for clearance after all with' spring under ' , the axel is higher off the ground???
