Helpful info for M416 trailer maintenance, not the manual

Spindle socket and bearings/race

If you don't already have a 2 & 1/6" spindle socket I had to order one from amazon, due to the fact that nowhere in Asheville carries them. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...&tag=oldgrossurstu-20&linkId=5TDWXE7AO6OLNBHZ
It was $14.00 shipping included and will be here tomorrow.
I also decided to go ahead and replace the bearings and races. O'Reiley's auto parts had the cross referenced combination bearing/race or wheel bearing set for 17.99 each and since you need four altogether the total came to just under $72.00 . The parts are made by National Bearings part # A-35.

Soooo, apparently the M100 and M416 have different wheel bearings, grease seals and races. They do both share the same nut size of 2 & 1/16". The wheel bearings for a M100 are part number Timken 18590, or NAPA 18590. The Race is 18520 & the Grease Seals are part number 21101. I happen to have an m100 axel and I learned all of this the hard way.
