Opinion question on trailer dimensions -

Will be pulling behind my LJ mostly - thinking of doing a 4x6 foot size, but wanted to see what folks thought. Anyone do one that size and then wish it was just a little bigger? Going to mount a RTT and carry gear for trips. Is 5x8 just too big? Thoughts??

My trailer is a 4x6 as are a lot of other builds out there. I feel its a great size for towing in the back country, and have always had enough room for everything we need.Tracks well behind my 1st. gen Tundra. Jack knifes real real real easy when you need to turn around in the middle of nowhere also. I'm happy with the 4x6 size, but don't think 5x8 would be to big depending on where you want to take it.

I prefer a little wider and longer, but that depends on where you intend it to go. I like to be able to fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood in/on it. That way it does multiple duties. My Jeep trailer is too short. I will be extending the box out to about 7'-8'. It's already the same width and track width as the CJ.
