16inch vs 17inch rims

There appears to be lots of discussion about 16 vs 19inch wheels for Mitsubishi Canter And Izusu NPS, but very little directed to the 17x9 inch rim.
Are there enough 17" owners to justify its own thread??
I have been running 315/75x16 tyres on 16x8 steels, by Eastern Wheelworks ,on my Canter. Having just moved from the 5 stud to 6 stud, Im considering a step up in tyre size to 37x12.5r16.
These size tyres are harder to find in Australia.
Whats your thoughts?????

I chose 17's because there seem to be more tires available for them. Currently running 37x12.5 tires on 17x9 wheels. Very happy. Did have to move the a/c condenser and build custom flares though. 2000 Fuso FG639

17's. Tires in the load rating these trucks need are much more common.
