M416 LED tail lights

I needed to upgrade the rear lights, LED was the only way. see pics

4" round 12 LED lights

I used 4" round 12 LEDlight from EBay $10.00 each,=
Pop the red lens off . (BTW) the more LED's in the light the better. remove all the stock light brackets from inside the trailer light, leave 5" of wire to connect to the new LED's. Dremal Grind about 1/4" of the fins in the housing to fit. test fit, I used silicon to hold in , let dry over nite. Don't forget the ground wire. space out light from M416 body

I found the light housing on the M416 rubs on the tub body, I spaced mine out 1/2" with nuts between the bracket and frame. See pic

18 LED problem

I ordered an 18 red LED light from EBay for testing =seller (trailershoppe in PA) Came without wire harness, and I had to Dermal the red lens off. I cannot recommend,.

You can also do this mod with the earlier style lights. I used a set of LED lights from harbor freight, modified to fit in the housing.
