I'm on the search for a trailer now, especially since I just ordered my new 2017 Ram PW, it should have zero worries towing one of these versus my current vehicle(2 door JK). I keep seeing dollar signs.

I have a couple of questions about the "odds and ends" of your build to date.

1)What did you use to insulate your rig? I have not been able to find blue/pink polystyrene board, but I can fine styrofoam laminated between layers of mylar rated to R12. I imagine for most places with some form of heat and ventilation that should be sufficient to be livable.

2) where did you source the components of your electric system? Online? Brick and mortar?

2b) the trailer lights were they all from one vendor as well?

3) have you built or made progress on your water system?

Got my Knapheide shell installed, man was it heavy. Still not sure what to do about the rear doors. I don’t really like having to remove tailgate. Earlier this morning I remove brake drums to check brakes and greased wheel, bearing which were I great shape. F9A2098B-7A18-477C-B3A6-DFA9BA3BEFF9.jpeg

I have been working past few days modifying vertical double doors to single horizontal. Finally got framing cut and door cut down to size. Machined up some blocks to weld on so sliding rods had something to lock on to. Hopefully the lift supports I ordered will work. I am starting to think 20” is to long.

Made up some bracket so the lift supports would operate correctly. The Lift Support Depot was good company to deal with I talked with girl and she sent me the correct lifts.

A stock A3 weighs in at approximately 1540lbs.

My stock A2 weighed ( very past tense ) in at approximately 1340 pounds empty.

The topper weighs approximately 300 pounds. So, mine is ~1850 lbs with nothing else... alas, there is more.

I failed to add the rooftop tent, awnings, and rack weigh approximately 200. The battery box, electrics, and battery weigh approximately 200 pounds. Add another 100 for the stabilizers & jack.

So, empty, as equipped, mine would be closer to 2100-2200.

Good eye, RangarD!
