Great Jeep. I just got a Black 14 JKR 2 months ago. been going back and forth how I want to approach my build. I really like how the 37s look on yours. And the tan top on black is KickA$$.
I see the TeraFlex sticker on the side, so what lift did you go with for the 37s? I have a manual, so I can't put the 1.25" body lift on unless someone knows if there is a stick replacement that works. I'm not going to hack up the shift boot to make that work. I also see your drop hitch. How much weight do you tow and how does it handle that compared to the stock Rubi suspension? I towed a 1500lb boat and really didn't even feel it. With 37s, did you swap out the 4.10 gears and what did you go to? also, with 37s, did you take a huge hit in MPG? I could take 2, but much more than that kinda rules out an Overlander build.

Look! A 2 door Jeep! You'd almost think they didn't make them any more the way people always go for the unlimited these days.
Call me a traditionalist, but real jeeps only have 2 doors. Of course, I don't have kids so it's easy for me to say that.
(and heck, I drive a huge Land Rover anyway).

If I get kids at some point it will be time for a adventure trailer not a 4 door.

The lift is a Frankenstein lift. 3 in coils for a 4 door and shocks. The Suspension has a lot of cut and relocate in it and some home made parts.

I'm still running 4.10s on a manual transmission. It works good but I may regear to 4.56 or 4.88 if I were higher elevation. Towing I haven't gone over 1k since the big tires. On stock it pulled a 2300 lb trailer okay with trailer brakes but I wouldn't do it again.

Nothing real new to report on this old girl since I started building a WJ.

replaced the aluminum rear diff cover with custom one that 3bcustoms.com powdercoated for me.

Added new front pads. stops amazing.
Also swapped out my front hubs as they were squealing.

I think it was sam who asked me why you relocate the rear shock mounts.

moving them up gets that sharp edge further from the side wall

Decided to do a raise on the rear bracket to get my roll center back. love artec stuff

Decided I was going use the wasted space above my cargo space. Was kicking around building a metal cargo tray for all my soft goods. I remembered I had a dog net from extreme terrain that I wasnt using for anything else. A few adjustments and some creative routing of straps and the attic is complete. Plenty of room for gear and dogs. Now I'm confident I won't need a trailer or a hitch rack for week + trips.

I Like the overhead storage idea. Been looking at some nets so I can shove coats and hats over the front seats. May have to find something like yours for tents, sleeping bags and chairs.
