Well my first comment here, didn't realize I already have an account. But awesome build, would love to see in person some day. :sombrero:
Also looking at the pics, did you test it out in washington lake CG? I think I was at same exact site few weeks ago.

YOu've built what I've been thinking about as a tray-top/slide on unit.

Very well done.

Did I miss the weight while reading the thread? In mine I'd save a bit of weight since I don't need tongue/axles and probably could build with a lighter base frame since it would be on top a flatbed.

Anyone know the final weight?? I thought very hard about making the roof on mine like this but decided to make it with canvass to save weight..

Still need to get the weight, sorry! I have discovered that I need to change my tires to E rated. The ones I have are C rated and a bit soft for the high way.

What is the height of the interior without the top up? Can you stand in it? I'm also curious about the weight for when you find that out.
