Yes, this is a must do... makes a big difference. At some point the red ball will fall apart and you'll be stuck in 4x4 low.... it's actually good preventative maintenance.

Question: My t-case shifter is tight, doesn't wobble around much, but yet... still feels vague trying to find positions. Does this fix this? (gen2.5)

$70 including shipping, if you are going through the effort of checking the old one you will want a replacement on hand, this is because whatever is left of the old one keeping it together will come apart the second you pull the lever out to look.
