Hey guys new on this forum but not new to the world of 70 series, bought my first 1989 LJ73 in 1994 when I was living in Belgium.Almost every model and variant of the 70 series have been in my possession at one point in time with my 2 favorite models being the KZJ73 and the HZJ73.KZJ is not old enough to import so I have a few HZJ73's around now in Texas.
My 1991 HZJ73 is a lhd with ac which is very hard to find in Europe,it belonged to a friend of mine over there for almost 20 years and I have it now about 2 years.

The roof rack is a Front Runner from South Africa. I was at a loss as to what to do for it , since it has a FRP top. I searched the web and found zero I liked . Then Jeff at Rugged Overland Outfitters recomended the system and brand.
Since the rack is a modular system it can have the foot mounts located wherever you need them . There is no rain gutter on the rear side windows , but the BJ73 has them above the rear doors. They are actually very strong and made of metal that is embedded into the glass. I wouldn’t be afraid to put a RTT on it if need be.
The build thread, it’s not very detailed unfortunately. It was mainly a thread to show how much went into creating what it is today . There where several things changed along the way and a couple since the thread was last updatesd. One big change is it now has a GM 6l80e in it instead of a manual .
