What a Great feeling to pay the last bills! We are no more, bound to the system. No power bill, no sewage, no water, no internet, no monthly rent, no Comcast cable, no city traffic, the list is endless. Our reliance on mega corporations is dwindling. The sun will give us power, and diesel will take us there (OK, still need BP). food,well.. yea we still need that so maybe a grocery store here and there but who knows I might be an exceptional hunter and fisherman. time will tell

Got to spend the day on part of the Oregon Trail. It was a good test run for the truck and our set up. Extremely happy with how everything is turning out. It is wonderful to have a wife that while you enjoy a day on the trail, she enjoyed the day doing her nails. A little bumpy but they turned out beautiful. " Why not?, this is our living room :)."

Rowena lookout, OR. Spent our first night in the camper. What a blessing to wake up to these beautiful views.

Thank you all for the support and good wishes.
We spent the night up in the mountains outside of Hood River. As we parked our e-brake snapped. After figuring out where and how, then rigging some old-school emergency breaks via rocks, we decided to take showers and call it a night. Immediately after our showers the water pump went out. All and all it was great timing for both. Now that we have fixed these minor issues everything seems to be in working order. Our trial runs are paying off.

Yes we are still in the area, sticking around until our last car sells. Like a good friend of mine said, "You could be 'held up' in much worse places in the world than the Gorge."

One state I have never been, but seeing all the awesomeness posted on this forum I don't doubt it.
