What did you do to your Mitsubishi today?

Went camping, now that it is road legal, although this project is not finished yet.

I customized my power antenna with the help of a tree branch. Now it won't go down all the way.

That sucks. Mine was broken when I got it. I picked up a new OEM Mitsu antenna mast for $50 on ebay. I have to remove the motorized antenna assembly to remove a part of the original antenna that is still inside which prevents the new one from going down all the way. So that means that I have to pull the fender.....

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
I need to just remove mine and weld the hole shut, hate those things. If I could fine an old Gen 2 RS I would take it's fixed antenna.

It's been some time since I contributed to this thread.

In order, my wife decided to keep her 89 LS Montero and get it going. We've have it for almost 10 years and it's been moved around NorCal, then around our yard. Rich Eichenburg sold us a set of lock cylinders and keys to replace the set on the truck. We lost ALL my Montero keys somewhere on our acreage about 3 years ago...sucks.

The Montero Ranch has stocked up with Mighty Max and D50s lately. We have on 1980 D50 2wd parts truck and an 88 Max 4x4 parts truck.

Pearl, my turbo Mighty Max was gifted a service body, a set of cool ARE alloys, and an L200 Savanah grille and headlight set last year. She's waiting her turn for some more love. Pearl will be my offroad fun, camping vehicle now that I gave the Ramcharger to my son, and will get slightly better fuel mileage.

Lastly, I have acquired a 2wd Mighty Max, Loxley the Green, that will satisfy my need for a thankless commuter vehicle...just can't stand cars. I borrowed items from my parts cache to dress Loxley in the finest junk...earlier wheels, Montero hub caps, a John Baker grille guard, and chrome from Pearl.

I drove mine. And when I got in it, I looked at the creeping rust on the rockers that I tried to repair myself. It didn't even make it a year. In fact I think I made it worse. Some random body shop is going to get some business this spring.

I changed my spark plugs and wires. My back still hurts. Sucks being 5'4" and having to remove the entire intake plenum to do a simple job. At least I was able to remove the air filter box and sit on the fender for some of the job.

new windshield (again)
and new rotor , caliper bearings, seal, drivers side.
battery check
alt test. vacuum the carpets. just the regular stuff i do to avoid car payments.
took almost all day

I used it like it was meant to be used.

I thought this would be a big deal but it wasn't. 12 pavers, 88lbs each, 1,056lbs total. 3.5" of squat. Other than a little extra roll, the ride home was uneventful.

Got ATV ramp roof rack mounted and likely in a configuration it will stay in for our trip to Overland Expo West. One awning mounted too.
