I've decided to list my 2005 Subaru Forester XT. I am the 2nd owner and purchased the car at 173,000 miles. Since I've owned it, I've added a lot to the car to make it an extremely capable and reliable vehicle. Despite the high mileage, the car runs strong without any issues and a valve adjustment has been done and timing components and belts have all been replaced for peace of mind. There are no major blemishes with the paint or body. Only minor scratches and touch ups from the previous owner. A couple of small door dings as well. There is also a rock chip in the windshield that was also there from the previous owner. Nothing out of the ordinary for the mileage. This car was used for highway commuting and long distance trips camping and biking. I've put a lot of money into the car with reliability in mind and the intention of keeping the car for upwards of 300,000+ miles but my needs have changed and a bigger vehicle such as a Toyota 4Runner would be more convenient for me.
I'm a meticulous car owner and have a detailed spread sheet of all expenses and maintenance done to the vehicle including dates, costs, mileage, and receipts. The above description only contains partial details of my records. Prior to my ownership, the car was always serviced by the Diablo Subaru dealership in Walnut Creek. I have all the maintenance records and vehicle booklets from the original owner as well.
