1981 ford van 4x4 info

Hey guys I just got a 1981 ford 4x4 van. I would like to identify the 4x4 conversion kit. It has leafs on the front and the sticker on the door states it was installed in 1981. I think in Canada. Thanks for any info..I hope to also post pics if needed.

Do a search on here for Ujoint off road. Chris is the 4x4 Econoline god.

Pictures would help. Off hand it could have been done by Sportsman 4x4 in Kamloops. They used to do leaf spring conversions.

On another forum you state it has a decal that says "Canadian Traction", maybe that will help someone identify it.

I am debating whether to sell it or keep it for a body swap or even to install the drive train under another clean van.

How bad is the frame?

Frame seams solid. I know it looks bad but must of it is surface rust. I got a guy coming to look to buy it.
