so now i'm all caught up with my lack of updating this thread. just yesterday i got my lift installed. it was time to upgrade my suspension, my shock were totally worn out and my suspension were already worn out. after a lot of research i ended going with the OME kit 881 up front and 906 springs in the rear, with 10mm trim packers and firm shocks, for a total of 2 inches.

April 30-May 2, 2017

Took a 3 day trip to North Georgia....drove up with a 1st gen 4runner, as he was on his way to Pennsylvania. We past through Helen, GA and went up Tray Mountain, camped near a creek, hiked to a waterfall, after some more riding around we split ways, he went north and i headed south. on the way back to Central Florida, i went to check out Apalachicola National Forest near Tallahassee, FL. From there i met up with a 4th gen 4runner in Citrus WMA. Just some pics from that trip.

found a nice camp spot right next to a creek with a nice fire pit and pre-cut firewood. i slept in the tent and it was windy and 40 mph gust through out the night. in the morning it started to rain.

eventually parted ways, i took mostly backroads headiing south

somewhere in Florida got into a little bit of trouble. Florida hasn't had much rain in months, so the trails are pretty dry. i found this one trail that had some water, well it had a very soft bottom that i just sunk, and had offset holes to which i was stuck. ended up winching out, but even the winch felt like it was struggling.

it was great, a lot of fun. we ended up going back the same way we came in, so all the fun parts twice.

after that trip i go to re-spool my winch and my solenoid crapped out. i contacted smittybilt and they sent a new one within a week along with a new switch for the wireless remote. the switch is a common failure, so instead put a waterproof switch on.

took 5 1/2 weeks. i was told 3-4 weeks until it would be shipped. turn around times are always changing. i ordered mine before any big sale.

today i changed my front turn signals again. the round LEDs just weren't bright enough in the daylight. i found these LED pods with built in amber lights and just had to get them..
