Here's a cautionary tale from a traveler whose backpack fell off the back of his bike while on tour in a foreign country. Don't say no one warned you...

Well at least it was just "things" he lost..

The big lesson? Don't use Bungee's! I haven't used them for years. Plus, they are really dangerous! A personal friend of mine lost an hey using one to attach his bag onto his VFR several years ago.

I also like to safety any gear that's strapped down if possible so even if my straps fail the bag will just dangle a bit and hopefully I won't crash or will notice it right away..

Seems like he's got a good attitude about the whole thing..
