I appreciate the kind words folks.

I found out pretty quick that the new tires rubbed bad when turning, especially in reverse, so I did what every FJ owner eventually does and did the body mount chop. Took a couple hours in the driveway but now there's no more rub. The tires were sitting a little close to the UCA's though, and I was afraid they'd rub when aired down, so Spidertax spacers were installed. I have been avoiding spacers for a while, but until I get different rims (should be coming out this spring) these will do. I dig the look, I'm just weary of spacers in general.

Well I pulled the trigger and after some recommendations on here I bought a Dometic CFX-50 fridge. I needed to put it where the back seat normally is due to my dogs sleeping on top of the cargo drawer in the rear. Due to it's location I wanted a fridge that opened sideways, not front to back like the ARB. It helped that it was a couple hundred less, with all the same features and the same internals from what I gather.

I took out the seat bottoms and made a platform with tie downs so I could secure the new fridge as well as my dry food/stove box. Currently the fridge is just plugged into one of the extra lighter plugs I put in the dash, but I will be installing a rear lighter plug in the very near future.

Nice Build! I dig the Baja rack.. I have a silver 2007, been looking for something a little different than factory for a while. May have to check into that one.

Thanks. The Baja rack wasn't my favorite visually but now that I've had it on there it's grown on me. For me, it was the most functional. I can strap all of my nonsense all over it during big trips and the rack has been perfect.

After a little bit with the fridge I don't know why I waited this long. It's really nice to have while at the beach, or just driving around town. I keep it stocked with water and a couple protein bars and can't say enough good things about it. With that said it was time to add 12V port to the back of the center console to power it. When I ordered the fridge I oredered an extension for thw power wire and have been running that to the front of the truck. Not clean, and not neat, so it had to be fixed. Took about an hour, and now the fridge has it's own plug and there are no more wires running around the seat tracks and up onto the front console.

Not really part of the truck build, but more part of my overlanding kit...I ordered some camp lighting. I've seen a few people talking about these Luminoodles and talking about how cool they are, so I got some to try out. They're awesome! They pack up really small and are really bright. I'm curious how long the battery pack will last, but it's LEDs so I figure it'll be good for at least a few hours at a time, and that's all I really need. I absolutely love that they can be mounted via magnets. I opened the rear door of the FJ and hung them off the door and they provide more than enough light to use while cooking (my rear door rack with fold down table should be here any day). I can also mount it to the side of the rig under the awning and have plenty of light for hanging out at night. Pretty neat addition to my kit.

I ordered a fold down rear door molle panel for the FJ from Orangeboxxx fabrication. A couple weeks later, yesterday, it arrived and was everything the owner promised. Install was simple and in about an hour and a half it was on there. They cut my Instagram logo into the top for me and powder coated it how I wanted. He even color matched the paracord. Very nice piece of kit.

Also went ahead and got my badge from Overland Bound. I'm official! If you're also a member and live in the area feel free to drop me a line to do some wheeling.
