GM and Isuzu just announced a new agreement to sell Isuzu N-series trucks through Chevrolet dealers. The rebadged Isuzu models will offer a GM-built 6.0L gas V8 and 6 speed GM transmission, plus Isuzu 3.0L and 5.2L Diesel engines with Aisin 6 speed automatics.
The N-series offers GVW ratings from 12,000 to 19,500 lb. Both single cab and crew cab configurations will be available. Isuzu does not offer 4x4 N-series trucks in USA.
GM does offer a 3500 HD model Silverado in cab and chassis configuration, with Duramax diesel V8 and 4x4 optional. The N-series cab over engine design offers greater maneuverability and greater payload, in a shorter overall length. The Isuzu 4 cylinder Diesel engines are less powerful, but more fuel efficient than the 8 cylinder Duramax diesel.

GM used to sell Isuzu trucks in the past, but dropped the agreement during the years when GM was in bankruptcy proceedings.
