Hi all,

After one month having a Defender 90, we decided to sell it and order a new one.
But a 110 so we can go traveling again like we used to do with our 2005 Discovery 3

Finally, after 6 months waiting it arrived:

Work of day 2
Seems always not that much when I write it down, but there's always some fiddling and adjustments to do :)

Day 4 of the rebuild.
A bit more relaxing today, some clean-up, thinking and having a beer :)

Let's see more. That "toptent" is wonderful! Does it make use of a folding loft bed? I see, your links are the photos page. Great for ideas.

I'll post some more updates :)
No folding loft bed.
When the roof is up, and you want to go sleeping, we can extend the bottom of the bed with 2 plates laying on the top of the drivers cabin.
Then fold open the mattress and ready.

Few day's off. Time to work on the cabinets.
Typical for an LR job, things don't work out the way you planned, but the job will get done at the end.

Nice build :). What top tent are you using? Is it possible to mount a bed in the top?

Thank you :)

The top tent is a custom made tent made in Belgium. Only some 10 are made as far as I know.
It's foreseen and will be used to sleep in.
You sleep at the height of the original defender roof, so when in use, you still have all the space below.

I'm guessing you're from Iceland? We're hoping to get there in September 2016

Drooling over this rig, I can only wish to own this in the U.S. I may have to immigrate and relocate to Belgium to get one.

:) you don't have to go that far... Just crossing the border will do. No, not North, I think Canada has the same rule as the US regarding cars.
But getting a new one will be very hard. Orders are stopped and production ends begin 2016....
