2012 Ford F150 FX4.....found one with the "long bed"......the long bed around here is VERY hard to find

The truck only has 17,500 miles on it

Max Tow
Power folding mirrors
Heated/Cooled leather
power sunroof
power rear slider w/ defroster
navigation
4.2" touchscreen
ARE cap (dual LED strip bars, fully carpeted)
3.73s
275/65R20 Goodyear Duratracs

The backup camera on the 4.2" screen is great, with the back up sensors make this a safe and functional rig

Funny thing is, that HIDs and Telescope Mirrors were not available in 2012........the build date on the door jam is 05/2012

It also has a 2013 grill and front end......title and all Ford documents say 2012

Very smooth motor, smooth power throughout the RPM band

Definitely powerful for a V6..........it is nice and quiet too

Mileage is decent, with the 2" leveling kit and the LT275s (a tad over 34" tall), I am only seeing 16-18 mpg

I am going to swap over to synthetic oil and see if the cold air intake helps at all..........then onto some custom tuning

I think all modern cars have cold air intakes I wouldn't waste any money on that unless your modifying the engine for more power.

You won't see anything with a cold air intake unless you also do a tune. There really is no need to change to synthetic oil Motorcraft synthetic blend is really a top quality oil. For a vehicle that is a going to be a daily driver it's just a little much.

I plan on some power mods, for sure.........not that is already isn't already powerful

Throttle bod, intake, tune, etc...........the single 3" exhaust will suffice for now

I am changing everything over to Amsoil, full syn

I recal the WRX tuner guys sorting out that the stock intake system was good for about 400hp after that they had to switch to an aftermarket intake system to get into the higher power numbers. I'd guess fords stock intake will handle simple tuning mods just fine. I wouldn't bother. Save your money for an Icon suspension!

Larger throttle body? Spacers have been shown over and over again to do nothing. If your are dead set on a cold air intake make sure it is one with a dry filter.

Really have to agree most cold air intakes are just for some bling under the hood.

Most aftermarket intakes are hot intakes also LOL. When we switch from cold intake to hot intake to avoid carb ice in the old Cessna its like a 15% power hit. Always cracks me up when I see kids rip out the cold intake and install a system drawing air from under the hood. I just shake my head and laugh. Given Ford probably uses the same intake on larger engines I wouldn't bother with it chances are it can probably support 500hp just fine. All the recent guys doing mods to their new trucks the one's doing the high end suspension stuff seem to be the most happy the difference in ride quality and ability to carry some speed on the dirt is pretty big.

I just saw a 2013 Platinum with 30k on the odo going for $38k....REALLY makes me want to trade in my 98 F-150 for it.

I like the color and that's some insane low mileage! Nice find.
