M116a2 off road sleeper

Found this military generator trailer several months ago and towed it home 100 miles on the hiway with a 2 dr. jeep, no problems. Not sure what it is going to end up, Repainted and cleaned it up, surge brakes working OK and planning on keeping the pintle hitch for now. So far plans just to keep trailer stock except for adding a hard side wood box with aluminum skin. The plans seems to have a mind of their own and now has a bay window, more windows, maybe a tailgate entrance and window AC. I spend 2 or 3 hours in the evenings messing with it, but more hrs. on the weekends. Not in a big rush to finish and going kinda slow on this project.
Sure enjoy watching and reading about all the other builds on the Expedition Portal forum.

wife only has a few inches to spare parking the jeep and keeping clear of the sidewalk. lol. I put the foam bumper pad on mostly for a visual reminder.

Ordered a sheet of .025 aluminum 14' X 103" several weeks ago and tracked the UPS site for updates. UPS had the metal here in town for over a week apparently unable to deliver due to wrong address so they say. Called live chat UPS and got everything straightened out and finally received the aluminum last night after 8:00 pm.
UPS man was super quiet and I only found the metal was delivered as I went out to lock up vehicles. lol

The front made from cardboard template on first pic and then cut out of a sheet of 4' X 7' .025 aluminum.

The big sheet is to cover the sides and roof without any seams except for the front and back ends.
