GEN 2.5 Dash, Console Bulb Alternative Source

So I tried fitting LED's in the dash and HVAC unit to replace the burnt out factory bulbs and just didn't like the look. Everything was either too harsh or not bright enough. Next I tried type 74 replacements from the local auto store which are a bit large for the stock Mitsu bulb housings and some of the bulbs have a small blue "condom" to soften the light which the replacements didn't have. So while I was shopping for headlight bulbs (got some nice Osrams) I came across this website :

which showed to carry not only a pretty nice selection of headlight/foglight bulbs, driving lights etc, but also had a link for some of the elusive T5 bulbs:

I'm going to order some tonight and see how they do, but after talking to Kenny (the guy that runs the site) it seems like this will be a good alternative to the Mitsu stuff for the guys that don't want to go LED. Anyway, not an endorsement or anything just a heads up since this site and everybody have been SUPER useful.

Interesting. My replacement ones from oreillys won't stay in the bulb holders.

Bulb Sizes?

Hey Atrais, I know this thread is a couple of years old however I am looking to change out all my interior dash bulbs with a new-to-me 2.5 Monty. I'm not really a fan of the LED look and would just like a better than stock replacement.

Candlepower looks like a great option.... but I've no idea what bulbs to buy?

Do you have a list of what it took to swap all yours out? Thanks!!!!

I get mine at NAPA, recommended by my Mitsu dealer who no longer carries the mini bulbs.

I replaced all my bulbs with LED bulbs but the compass/outside temp gauge I switched back to the OEM bulbs because for some reason those LED neo bulbs I have had flickering issues.

MANY of the bulbs are the same for majority of Mitsubishis later model vehicles. If you make a trip to your local salvage yard just hit up all the Mitsubishis and remove the bulbs from their gauge clusters especially the later models as they are newer.
