Just Purchased a Tiger CX In Denver. (Cross posted due to not knowing where I should post this...Anyone care to tell me where I should?)

My wife and I currently have a 2003 Ford E250 Sportsmobile, we love it. But were interested in trying something a little different. When this Tiger CX became available I jumper right on it. Time to start a new project build.

Not going to do all the below list right away, I am going to spend some time with the Tiger and see how it fits our needs. if it doesn't fit for what we want, I will sell it.
Like I said we love our SMB, for its ease of use and how we can boondock it anywhere. The larger chassis might be just what we need or to much. :)

Simple Plans:
1) Modernize the interior, it's in excellent original condition.
2) Upgrades to the 5.9 and running gear for power and efficiency.
3) Solar.
4) Possibly an Espar but the Atwood Furnace works surprisingly well.
5) 4x4 Conversion. (OEM Parts Located)
6) Front Brake Upgrade - Maybe
7) Wheels/Tires
8) Wide Tow Mirrors
9) DVD Stereo with Back-up Camera and Bluetooth- Upgrade interior multi-media as well.
10) Custom rear Bumper with Box, Tire Carrier and 1UpUSA Bike Racks.
11) SUP Paddleboard racks for roof or Side mount, not sure yet.

The Day I purchased it.

And our SMB -

That Dodge is PIMP

Congrats on the purchase!

Too bad it isn't 4x4, but that should be a terrible upgrade to perform.
Although it will probably be much more stable on road as it is, sitting so low.

Still, cool rig. Im not a dodge guy, but Ive always loved that body style dodge.

Love to see that body style getting put to good use.

You just got a fantastic combo ! congrats !!!

I bought myself a 93 W250 ( 4x4 ) ram pickup to convert into a similar rig ......
I hope for you that the front frame portion is the same on the D250 ( 2wd ) ......If so it will be an easy swap !

At worst, to start , a posi trac + winch could probably do the job ......

I had a E-250 camper van before ,youll love the added space !( width )

would you mind showing more pics of this new rig !

Before Photos - this is how it looked when purchased.

I removed the memory foam mattress and cleared thing out to clean, remodel, update, paint, wallpaper & change flooring.

Vinyl Decal removal went very well. 6-8 hours to do it right, with a 3M erasure wheel, heat gun & a lot of patience.

I removed the entire interior including the Dodge Cab and started the huge & fun project.

1) Sound deadening throughout with Foil/Butyl & Mass loaded Vinyl.
2) Sound deadening around the Genset as well.
3) New Cab Carpet Installed.
4) Interior Insulated better than it was.
5) Interior Ceiling pulled, insulated with a closed cell and new 4mm actual marine grade plywood is going up soon.
6) finishing wiring 400watts of flush/surface mount solar panels on roof.
7) Refinished the cabinetry, Painted, sealed and new hardware.
8) A/C Removal and added a 2nd Fantastic Fan w/remote and auto. (Never use the A/C w the fantastic's)
9) removed roughly 100lbs off the roof. :)

Truck Modifications
1) Complete 4" exhaust turbo back with muffler.
2) all fluids changed or upgraded.
3) new Master Cylinder.
4) Custom air Intake made by me.
5) Rear Air Shocks as a buffer for loaded trips. (dont even need but what the heck)
6) New front Moog HD Springs, insulators
7) New Bilsteins up front.
8) replace killer dowel regardless...for safety of the motor.
9) turn up fuel screw slightly
10) dial in tuning and timing for motor to run dialed in for 2050rpm. at 75mph. (mileage)
11) install new fuel pin for higher power and mileage)
12) LED headlights.
13) Rebuild Brakes regardless of condition.
14) Possibly upgrade sway bars (will see how I feel since so much weight has been removed from the roof)

I still have a ton of work to do.....
*Belts & Pulleys -check or replace.
*Tidy up all wiring and new Coach Main wires replaced.
* Relocate Multiple Commercial Batteries and replace.
* Add PIaa Foglights.
* Add DVD/ Bluetooth Stereo with Back up Camera.
* Add CB for traveling buddies
* New 265/75/16 BFG KO2's all teh way around including spare.
* Add Keyless entry and add lock solenoid to side entry door to include it....easy & secure.
* New Vinyl Graphics that follow the lines of the truck.
* Replace all upper deck windows- ok now but seals are getting hard.
* new Vinyl flooring & matched runners.
* New Dometic 2354RB Fridge, as the one in now is approaching 10 yrs old.
* Upgrade coach speakers and wire stereo to have live coach switch. (radio without key)
* Upholster new covers for the couch. (removable and washable)
* Add Yakima sliding roof rack for our paddleboards and Yaks.
* Add rear carrier box
* add rear 1UPUSA Bike Rack that will integrate with the hitch and box.
* Replace all clearance lights to LED.
* Replace Side Coach light with LED.
* Repair awning and Reinstall.
* Add right Rear Cargo Box above exhaust. (unused space from factory)
*

and much more.........

The weather is getting much better so I pulled it from storage. I have it stored at my home now, much easier to knock out the projects.
