4x4 ambulance van offroad capabilities/ limitations

hi i am considering building a 4x4 ambulance van, and am wondering what are the cons of having a rig that big? i dont plan on doing any serious rock crawling. I still want something that can make it through the minimum maintenance mountain pass roads, desert roads, logging roads, etc. Would an ambulance be too big for alot of those roads? i want something large enough to be comfortable for 2 people, and 2 dogs, but still have the option to go overlanding. I was hoping someone on here with 1st hand experience could chime in.

Have you considered a surplus humvee hardshell field litter ambulance (M997)?

The only place I would be concerned are on narrow "goat trails" you may come across.

Check out my post " NO plan is the Plan" I went on some fire roads and drove all over the west in mine. They are pretty capable and I never had an issue. You do have to plan ahead and really check out runs to make sure you will not get in over your head, especially if you travel solo like me.
