Freelander Trailer conversion

Got more of front end taken apart, inner fender skirts, headlight and remaining harness removed. I have a fabricator coming to look at front to figure out best place to tie in to the unibody. Going to run a triangle style framing with an additional piece of square tubing running 3 feet under the chassis in the tunnel. All three pieces will join at the front and then the center tubing will extend the tow mount bolts to the front. 13 pin euro trailer harness is on its way across the pond.

For it to not require brakes in the state of MD I have to get it below 3000 pounds. Even full my disco will to it fine. Im working on removing more stuff today

These run from under hood to pass compartment. I will use this to run my cables to charge batteries. Its already there and costs nothing

Little more lunchtime dismantling got rid of all ps line, fenders are loose, bumper reinforcement gone and top of core support has been removed to cut that up and mount to cowl so I can attach bumper cover there

Shop vac and string will make the wire pulls easy on this tubing!! remember to leave a few extra pull lines for future wire pulls

Can't wait to see it in use as a trailer!!

13 pin trailer harness arrived from uk. I will have all the lights working like they did as a car. That includes reverse lights and rear fogs. It will also supply power to charge battery while towing

So got a little sidetracked with my Discovery needing some work so I hope to have front end cut off this week and front end welded up with tongue mounted so It can be moved and then wired up. Being immobile outside is causing it to be delayed in making progress

Made some more progress. Not sure how to make front end a little better looking. The angled metal is just there to help move it.
