Aluminum wheel durability?

Hey guys, little advice needed here.

I have been looking at having a set of aluminum rims laced up for my Triumph scrambler. I am looking to gain a little performance out of the bike without modifying the engine. My worry is that the aluminum rims would be easily bent under a heavy bike. Anyone have any experience with this modification?

All performance, racing and stunt riding rims for motorcycles, BMX, MTB and road bikes are aluminum. Get a brand name and you'll be fine.
