Turn the front rock guard into a table you can setup when you stop. May get too dirty to eat off of, but could be pretty handy for the cost of adding 4 legs

Yeah that's what we are thinking too. Plus its the only thing shiny really on the exterior so thinking black would blend in better with everything else. Gonna finish everything else first 100% and come back to that. Not a huge deal to take it off and drop it off at the powdercoater. Could go red or white with it too I suppose, probably be less hot than black. I don't know, another decision to be made there I guess. lol

been following along from the beginning .... I guess it depends on how much hands on the cage would be needed to worry about heat ... black looks good ... then you went and said red ... I am so leaning to the red now but I think it would be I love it or hate it ... but it sure would POP .... based on your work so far I am sure it will be great whatever you decide .... GREAT WORK ... always enjoy the final parts and pieces being put together ... makes that light at the end seem near and bright ...Matt

If it were mine, I'd go with a gray powder coat and a Scarlet block O in the middle, but that's just me...

A couple pics of my jeep and the egg together that I took this weekend and another from the day we brought it home to see how far we have come! Still have a few things to finish up. Gonna take it to town and have it weighed this week I think and see how much our modifications changed things.

Awesome job! Mine came in at 2620 pounds with the generator and 2full LPG tanks on the tongue. And 2bikes on the back. Its a 97 13ft Casita with the bathroom and shower (love that). Had it lifted professionally with leafsrings and shocks. Sits on 32's now. Tows great and camps wonderfully. I will try and add a picture, but my tablet isn't cooperating...

Got our extra long shower curtains to create the shower/potty room outside. Should serve its purpose when we need it. Also got the ARB awning installed and the led pod lights in the corners all wired up. We have had rain practically every day so when we get another dry day I'll get some pics with the awning out. I've been slowly packing the interior with our camping gear. Haven't had a chance to weigh it all yet. We are going to the DMV today to get a license plate. I haven't planned any camp trips yet but I think we are definitely going to Bantam Jeep Fest in Butler, PA in June and will camp. Probably take it for a couple trips local before then to work out any issues.
