I bought the steel oil pan to replace the plastic pan on my LR3 to avoid having to lift the engine, but after fitting my transmission slipped in the first two gears. I'm not sure if there's something I did wrong when fitting or checking the fluid level, but a new plastic pan has fixed my problems.
I bought this pan from the California Transmission Supply Company and it cost me $255. http://www.thectsc.com/products/6hp26-plastic-to-steel-oil-pan-conversion-kit-222-9.html
I'm offering it for $150. It has less than 20 miles on it and the only thing wrong is that one of the screws got lost.
