I'm curious who is filming you during the shots from outside of the Jeep? In your videos, the camera isn't simply stationary like some other videos I've seen from solo travelers.

It's on a tripod most of the time, or else I ask someone on the side of the road to point it at the Jeep while I drive past.
It's fun explaining that in French.

Hi All,

I'm checking out the sights of Southern Burkina Faso which are stunning!
I can't believe nobody talks about these kinds of places!

Here are "Les Pics De Sindou" - natural sandstone formations. I had the whole place to myself so I wandered around for the morning:

Lots more pics: http://theroadchoseme.com/les-pics-de-sindou

Great Site!

Exactly the campsite that is so hard to find in the States!

N.B. Do remember - never camp between a hippo and water. And they do clear such nice sites!

Hi All,

Being treated like a wallet with legs can sometimes get the better of me.

At the famous Houses of Tiébélé in Southern Burkina Faso I had more than I can handle.

On that note, it's time for another country!

That last post reminds me of a recent conversation I had with my adult daughter on the use of the word "no" and how powerful it is. You did the right thing (in my opinion) by leaving without further "donations".

Nice trip report!

I am bringing back the "Jeep Stuff" posts from my previous expedition!

Hey Dan! Loving the updates on the trip! Im pretty much checking your site everyday hoping for a new update. Been really dreaming about doing a trip like yours and have officially made a savings account to help me achieve it. I live in alberta, so i'm thinking a trip to Inuvik and Prudhoe bay will be a good way to start getting into overlanding! Can't wait for the next update!
