Continuing from pt 1...
So the plan for day 2 was to explore Chisos Basin.

The road leading to up to Chisos Basin is paved but makes up for it (in my mind) with a simply amazing vistas. I couldn't believe I was still in Texas.

So I got 'tricked' into doing some hiking... Ana wanted me to get something for her from her bag which required me to pull over near one of the popular trailheads.
Actually, it ended up being pretty nice. This spot is about 3 miles into one of the 12 mile hikes in the basin. Luckily, it was overcast but as we were pressed for time, we opted not to do the whole trail.

Here's another pretty cool shot of the Chisos Basin:

All in all, I'd say BBNP exceeded my expectations and hope to return again to check out some of the other areas.
