Hi there,
Im coming from the 80's-late90's toyota world. So I am looking for any words of advise when it comes to the Chevy G-series.
Looking at a 1993 Chevy G30 this afternoon.

I'd love a 4x4 with poptop and a diesel but thats not in the cards right now.
The main uses for my future van would be to take the wife, kid, and 2 dogs camping as well the occasional business runs.
It will be a daily commuter as well.

I'm thinking I'd peal off the decals, bedliner the floor, insulate and outdoor carpet the interior. A fold out bed and a jump seat for my 2.5 year old.
I did some research and it looks like the platform is pretty reliable except for the rear main seal, rear dif seal and a few cooling sensors.
Is there anything else I should look for?
The owner would lend this particular van out to his employees when their cars were down. The last guy ran the van with no oil for an extended period of time.
The engine was replaced with a crate motor from Chevy.

best,
Jason
