Hello, My name is Jeff and I have been planning to build a custom one off fiberglass and ridged foam truck bed camper for years now and was going to start building one this summer. That plan went out the window when I found a Palomino truck bed camper on Craigslist for only 50 bucks from the original 80 year old owner. The camper is in great shape for its age and everything works like new from the gas/electric fridge, Heater, 3 burner stove, sink, 20 gallon water tank and water pump. I'm going to chop and mold a stock bronco topper to the camper that will allow me to use the stock bolts to mount the camper and fill the B pillar and bed rail gaps. The plans for the camper is make a custom pass-through to allow access from the cab to the camper and remodel the interior. I'm looking to install new wood flooring, fiberglass wall panels, new upholstery, new kitchen cabinet, and all new electrical system with charge controller, deep cycle batteries and solar panels.

Thank for the complements. Tomorrow I'm going to start molding the Bronco topper to the camper and making the cab pass-through. The camper is so nice for being a 1983 and it's bitter sweet to remodel the interior but some of paneling is pealing and I already have a better floor plan worked out with a toilet and shower going in and want a modern looking interior.

I have wanted to do this for many years myself as I have always owned a bronco or k5 blazer since I was 16 and now I'm 31 the dream is coming true :) I already took the camper out for two nights and had a blast. Hooked up a small 12v fan and had my laptop to watch a movie with the girl before bed. I can't believe how comfortable the over cab bed was and even though it rained hard both nights we had not one leak even with the plastic windows rolled down for fresh air.
