I bought this Rover in 2011, and I have really planned to keep this vehicle FOREVER!
But, I keep thinking about Sportsmobiles, and how much nicer the camping experience would be as my dogs and I get older.
The Rover:
I bought it with approximately 38,000 miles, and I've added another 100,XXX trouble-free miles. It has always been serviced by Land Rover, and most recently (2 years) by Ian at British Unlimited in North Little Rock.
Extras:
- tactical rovers front bumper
- tactical rovers rear bumper
- proud rhino receiver hitch
- smittybilt XRC 10,000 lb winch w/ synthetic line
- 20" led light bar
- voyager Offroad Rock rails
- Frontrunner roof rack
- rhino rack awning
- Frontrunner drawer system
- ARB dual air compressor
- 18" se wheels ( w/ spare and 3 extras)
I'm sure I'm forgetting several things, and I'm not really sure jumping from this to a sportsmobile would be a smart move. Any opinions? What's a fair selling price considering the mileage vs. all the extras? $25K?
Or, should I just keep it forever, as it has so far been the most fun and reliable vehicle I've ever owned? Over the last 6 years, this rig has taken me to all 48 lower US. I just know tent camping is getting a little tiresome, and I'd like to sleep in a real bed at the end of the day. And, towing a camper isn't a real good option, as I enjoy stopping in small towns and eateries, and need to leave the pups comfortably air conditioned during lunch or dinner.
am I crazy???
