Feeler: 2008 LR3 HSE

I bought this Rover in 2011, and I have really planned to keep this vehicle FOREVER!
But, I keep thinking about Sportsmobiles, and how much nicer the camping experience would be as my dogs and I get older.

The Rover:

I bought it with approximately 38,000 miles, and I've added another 100,XXX trouble-free miles. It has always been serviced by Land Rover, and most recently (2 years) by Ian at British Unlimited in North Little Rock.

Extras:
- tactical rovers front bumper
- tactical rovers rear bumper
- proud rhino receiver hitch
- smittybilt XRC 10,000 lb winch w/ synthetic line
- 20" led light bar
- voyager Offroad Rock rails
- Frontrunner roof rack
- rhino rack awning
- Frontrunner drawer system
- ARB dual air compressor
- 18" se wheels ( w/ spare and 3 extras)

I'm sure I'm forgetting several things, and I'm not really sure jumping from this to a sportsmobile would be a smart move. Any opinions? What's a fair selling price considering the mileage vs. all the extras? $25K?

Or, should I just keep it forever, as it has so far been the most fun and reliable vehicle I've ever owned? Over the last 6 years, this rig has taken me to all 48 lower US. I just know tent camping is getting a little tiresome, and I'd like to sleep in a real bed at the end of the day. And, towing a camper isn't a real good option, as I enjoy stopping in small towns and eateries, and need to leave the pups comfortably air conditioned during lunch or dinner.

am I crazy???

Sounds like an awesome rig, got any more pics? What kind of mileage do you get?

Looks like you also have a snorkel from the pics that you didn't mention in your extras.

You should also mention if it has the rear locker as that's a desirable option.

Pricing...hard to say; it looks nice and it's built with good parts but $25K is a lot for any LR3 these days when you can find standard trucks for $10-15K. It may be worth it (I certainly have far more than that in mine) but finding the right person could be difficult.

Oh yeah, it has a snorkel and a Bluetooth GAP tool, Garmin dash cam, Garmin Nuvi 2798 w/ backup cam, and Bluetooth/mic into auxiliary port for a better microphone and Bluetooth streaming.

Part it out :)

Awesome looking rig! I am in the process of building my LR3, and if you do decide to part it out I would be interested in some of the goodies you have.

Killer rig!

I say keep it or list it and wait.

I paid $7,500 for my 06 LR3 HSE with 118k miles and no issues(a year ago/stock)... I recently saw a mid range built one go for 9k(Had ARB bumpers).

IMO 25k is about 2x too much unless you find that one buyer. Hope that doesn't offend you because i'm seriously bookmarking this thread to copy some of your modifications.

I'm not offended at all. I just had everything re-worked...new belts, hoses, brake lines, brakes, bushings, control arms, transmission and diffs serviced, etc...
Now I'm either doing new shocks (air bags are still good, or a spring conversion.
I'm keeping it unless somebody just makes a killer offer.
