The look is just too good.

The next thing on the list was to lineX the interior. i have a big German shepard so there was always so much fur in the back. and for the few time it get wet!

i got a pair of JW speaker used, so i installed them last winter . the difference is worth the price. people should definatly get those before thing of led bar.

Then came the big spending. I was looking to buy a gobi rack , but the rice in canadian dollars was too high , i had to go with the Kargo master safari, wich is not bad for the price but you can certainly see the difference from time to time.

With a guy from work, we ordered 5 RTT from china, we decided to change the fabric to make it more durable and change the ladder. So we got 5 tent with annex and he got the awning for himself. that leaves us with 3 to sells. it was really less expensive to get it directly from China!

I have the cobra 75 WX st installed but not calibrated. I use to have the antenna on my spare tire. but with the tente facing backward. and me unable to open my rear window whie the tail gate is closed. i am moving my antenna to be mount directly on my roof rack.

I am currently working to get USB charger in the tent with led strip light.

I am going to installed my RAM mount with a galaxy tab as a GPS maping with OSMANDmap,

But more important, i have 5x 33' KO2 , 5 x pro comp wheel and a 2.5 teraflex suspention lift kit waiting to get installed. i had to wait because i have received an offer to trade my Jeep for a Rubicon so i am waiting to see what they have to offer. and then ill switch everyting to my brand new jeep!

More to follow and futur TODO list,

Now the time for question! :D

What company did you go through?

Thanks for the info!

I went directly on alibaba.com, and the compagny was sunday camper.

http://sundaycampers.en.alibaba.com/product/1918535631-215606334/Roof_top_car_camper_4x4_off_road_accessories.html#

It can be very stressfull at the start. be we took a leap of faith and love our tents, got 2 remaining for sale. and the product is great, we didnt compare it yet to a reel one , but they seems so close for a fraction of the price.

Man, at a price of $1000/tent, would you have been better off with a Smittybilt tent?
https://www.amazon.com/Smittybilt-2...id=1466704630&sr=8-1&keywords=smittybilt+tent

that same tent is 1500$ CAN dollar for me, so no. Mine will be better in every spec and will cost less shipped from china. I got an excellent entry level for the price i paid, i will need to see a Tepui in person before switching, but man. my country sucks in term of money. The only bad thigns about these tents, people are afraid because its a no-name brand, but still it will do the job better than smittybilt and maybe they ar on pare with tepui and CVT

So after some time outside the country i had gathered enough money to get my lift and tire on. i decided to go with the 2.5 inch terraflex and 33'' KO2 with procomp wheel. the look was just amazing.

Then it was time to put back RTT, and the front basket to help for the long journey.
20160824_165349.jpg

I got my Ram mount for the tab with OSM+, the front grill mod and the CB rantenna that will eventualy move to the rack

I am curious. Explain how it's better than the smitty. I hate when people put a product down, and offer no support.

If I may, which Ram mount did you get and did it hold up on the time out?

Thanks for sharing the build!

Saying one product is better then the other is not necessarily bashing one. At that time money was a big factor. And when the price of the large one is still better then small one. of course its a no brainer to pick it up.

I have used the http://www.twistedthrottle.ca/ram-rail-u-bolt-mount-7-tablet-x-grip?gloc=1&gclid=CjwKEAiA9s_BBRCL3ZKWsfblgS8SJACbST7DQseggz-xgLyxflEhYz-q1YdpinV6y8yOIg9O7vWnNBoCMV_w_wcB

The handle bar of the jeep is too big, so i changed the receiver to adjust on mine. works perfectly, did not move a pinch since this summer.

On the first weekend of September we went to the airport of Casey, its past la tuque. Casey is an old airport used by the Canadian forces back in the 1950. it was sold and abandoned after that. we can find old basement in the forest and fuel storage underground. it was a nice trip to get there wit ha few problem on the ram with me. After that we had a good lunch with a bunch of guys ive meet there. in total there was around 30 4x4 and 75 plane during the weekend. it was a big meet up for both the overlander and the aviator from all around Quebec.
