PS Fluid Swirling in Reservoir

Recently purchased a 2001 Montero Limited. I noticed that the PS fluid swirls or splashes inside the reservoir when the engine is running. Is this normal? I did not notice this on other cars. Thanks in advance.

Swirling is normal, splashing isn't. Maybe there's some air in the system. Shut the engine off and lift the front end off the ground, turn the wheel lock to lock a few times with the cap off then turn the engine on and do it. If there's air in the system you'll notice foam and bubbles in the reservoir
